Team KO
Team KO (formerly Team Kate) is raising awareness and funds for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) to help fund research to find a cure.
In 2014, a few months after Hal Bone’s daughter, Kate, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, we created Team Kate to participate in the CCFA’s fundraiser Take Steps. The money we raise is spent on four key areas — research, patient services, advocacy, and professional education. The CCFA cannot fund the mission without the generous support of donors as they do not receive any government funding. With the help of generous supporters, Team Kate has raised over $250,000 since their first walk with Take Steps.
Recently the Bone Family’s youngest, Owen, was also diagnosed with Crohn’s disease so we decided to change the name from Team Kate to Team KO referencing Kate and Owen.
We envision a day when no one endures the difficulty of Crohn’s disease. Together, with your support, we will see this become a reality!
